How Much Closer Are You to Answering the Question, “Why Am I Here?”
My journey with Yahweh began with a quest to answer that question – there had to be more to life than what surrounded me.
There had to be a purpose!
From there, I flung myself head-long into finding out, understanding, uncovering some meaning, purpose, intent behind this thing called life.
He had to have had an important reason…
One year – with bold temerity, I told the Sovereign God of the universe to take back His breath because I was breaking up with Him.
“…but wait! It’s not You God…It’s me…You didn’t do anything wrong. Your methods…just, aren’t working with me. I’m not saying they’re not good enough! It’s just me…I’m not looking like You said I’m suppose to look. You are perfect…it’s just me…So, it’s okay.
You can take Your breath back now…cause I don’t want it anymore. If I can’t be who You say I am, then I don’t want to be here.”
And no, that was not just a passing thought. I spent the day getting myself and my house in order and left my front door unlocked – for easy access.
Then, I informed God I’d see Him on the other side, took the corpse position and waited for Him to collect His breath.
Suffice to say, I wept bitterly when I woke up on the morning of January 1st 1997.
Oh my friend, Abba has endured a lot with me.
